Information About Oman for Expats

To being working and living in Oman legally, an employer with permission to hire a foreign worker must submit a Letter of Invitation to the expat. The sponsoring employer will also be required to submit an application for the Omani employment visa to the Immigration Department of the Royal Oman Police on behalf of the foreign worker they want to hire. The foreign worker must be 21-60 years of age, show the results of a medical exam, possess a valid passport, and meet other criteria.

Once an Omani employment visa is issued to the worker and they relocate to Oman, they will have 30 days to be given the Omani residence card from the Civil Status Department. To be guided on the relocation process, contact EmployMeGulf today. Their team of experts will help you find the perfect job opportunity and know the requirements of living and working in the Gulf States.

The Directorate General of Civil Status issues the Omani residence card, which will allow the foreign citizen to live and work in Oman for two years, along with the employment visa. Out of the 4.9 million people living in Oman, 40 percent are expat workers and their families.

Major industries in the region include oil and gas, chemicals, construction, steel, cement, copper, optic fiber, textiles, and fishing. EmployMeGulf will evaluate your eligibility to apply for a job in Oman or any of the other six Gulf States. They will help facilitate your search for the perfect job opportunity. Contact them today!
